At Peuriste, we choose materials with comfort, performance and everyday use in mind. We also believe you should be able to understand what you're using, which is why we share more about our materials, certifications and product construction.
Why We Use Organic Bamboo
We chose organic bamboo as one of the key materials in our period care range for its soft feel and because it reflects how we think about the materials we use.
Our pad top sheet is made with organic bamboo and corn fibre. The bamboo is certified organic by ECOCERT under the USDA National Organic Program, while the bamboo-derived viscose fibre is certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100.
We believe you should know what goes into the products you use, so we make our materials and certifications clear.
A More Thoughtful Approach to Plastic
We know disposable period products need different materials to provide absorbency, structure and protection. Where we can, we look for ways to reduce or replace conventional plastic with thoughtfully selected alternatives.
From plant-based PLA film in our pad wrappers to FSC-certified paper packaging, we look at the materials used across the product and its packaging rather than focusing on just one part.
Period Care Beyond the Product
We believe period care is about more than what you use each month. It's also about feeling prepared, informed and supported.
From first-period education to community partnerships, we are working to make conversations around periods a little more open and period care a little more accessible.
