At Peuriste, we choose materials with comfort, performance and everyday use in mind. We also believe you should be able to understand what you're using, which is why we share more about our materials, certifications and product construction.
Why We Use Organic Bamboo
We chose organic bamboo fibre for our pad top sheet because we value materials that feel soft, perform well and make sense for everyday period care.
The bamboo used in our pads is certified organic under the USDA National Organic Program and Ecocert Organic Standard. Our pad top sheet combines bamboo-derived viscose fibre with corn fibre.
Our sanitary pads and panty liners are also certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 through our manufacturing partner. The certification covers the finished products and their specified components, including bamboo-fibre viscose, corn-based PLA fibre, absorbent materials and the product's film and adhesive components.
We believe you should know what goes into the products you use. That is why we make our materials and certifications clear.
A More Thoughtful Approach to Plastic
Disposable period products need different materials to provide absorbency, structure and protection. Where we can, we look for ways to reduce conventional plastic and use alternatives that make sense for the product.
From plant-based PLA film in our pad wrappers to FSC-certified paper packaging, we consider the materials used throughout the product and its packaging, not just one part of it.
