Peuriste began with a question that became personal to me: Could period care be better for us?

As a mother of two daughters, our founder became more aware of the importance of everyday intimate care. Seeing her daughter experience urinary tract infections and sensitive skin prompted her to look more closely at the products we use every month, from the materials they are made with to how they feel against our bodies.

She wanted her daughters to grow up feeling comfortable, confident and informed about their bodies. She also wanted them to understand that periods are a natural part of life, and that caring for themselves should never feel like a compromise.

That search became the starting point for Peuriste.

We set out to create period care that brings together carefully selected materials, practical design and reliable everyday performance. From bamboo-based pads and reusable period underwear to first-period kits that help mothers prepare their daughters for a new chapter, our products are developed with the different needs and stages of life in mind.

Peuriste started with a mother's concern for her daughters, but the purpose extends to every woman and girl who deserves to feel comfortable and confident in caring for her body.

It is for the mother preparing her daughter for her first period. For the woman seeking alternatives that fit her everyday needs. And for the girl learning to understand her body without embarrassment or hesitation.

We want to help make period care conversations more open, choices more informed and everyday care a little better.

Peuriste was founded by Mabel Wong, whose journey began in nursing before taking her into healthcare entrepreneurship.

After working in a public hospital, Mabel moved into healthcare recruitment and eventually started her own business. Over the years, she built a company that worked closely with healthcare institutions and professionals across Singapore, spending more than two decades in an industry she knew well.

In December 2024, Mabel closed that chapter of her career and began exploring something new. This time, the inspiration came from home.

As a mother of two daughters approaching their first periods, she started paying closer attention to the period care products they would grow up using. Her daughter's experience with urinary tract infections and sensitive skin made her more aware of the importance of everyday intimate care.

It led her to ask a simple question: Could period care be better for us?

That question became the beginning of Peuriste.

Bringing together her healthcare experience, entrepreneurial spirit and perspective as a mother, Mabel set out to create period care products that combine comfort, practicality and more considered material choices. She wanted to offer women and girls alternatives that fit into real life, while helping young girls feel more prepared and confident as they navigate their first period.

For Mabel, Peuriste is more than a new business. It is a personal mission to make everyday period care better for the next generation, starting with her own daughters.
