At Peuriste, our mission extends beyond creating sustainable period care; we are committed to fostering dignity and well-being for women and girls in our community. We believe that no young person should ever have to face the challenge of menstruation without access to safe, skin-friendly products. This belief is the foundation of our recent partnership with CHIJ Sanctuary for Children (CHIJSC).

As we approach International Women's Day 2026, this belief has taken on a special significance. This week, we had the opportunity to turn our commitment into action through a meaningful partnership with CHIJ Sanctuary for Children (CHIJSC).

A Sanctuary of Stability and Support
Earlier this week, on 4 March 2026, we had the privilege of visiting the centre to personally deliver our sponsorship of Peuriste Period Care products. Through this initiative, Peuriste is providing a sustainable supply of our Organic Feminine Pads for over 150 girls and women at the centre.

Walking through the doors of CHIJSC, we witnessed firsthand the profound dedication of a team committed to providing stability, protection, and guidance. CHIJ Sanctuary for Children (formerly Infant Jesus Homes and Children's Centres) is an inclusive charity serving children and youth from diverse socio-economic, racial, and religious backgrounds. In a caring and nurturing faith-based environment, CHIJSC strives to create opportunities for every child to grow and develop according to their individual gifts and talents.

The nurturing environment they have cultivated is a testament to their life-changing work. Our visit offered a deeper understanding of their holistic mission, reinforcing our belief that true community support requires collaboration and a shared vision.

For the girls and women at CHIJSC, this sponsorship is about more than just meeting a hygiene need. It is about removing an unnecessary barrier and ensuring that everyone can go about their daily activities with comfort and confidence.

For young girls, having access to reliable, skin-friendly products can alleviate a hidden source of stress. Our bamboo period pads, crafted from plant-based materials like organic bamboo and corn fibre, are dermatologically tested and thoughtfully designed for sensitive skin. We wanted to ensure that the products we provide are not only dependable but also gentle, helping everyone feel at ease.
